Professor Xavier is the founder of Xaviers' School for Gifted Youngsters, also known as Mutant High to the students. Mutant children from all over the worlds come to the school to learn to control their powers. This is where Xavier tought his first students, Cyclops, Storm, and Jean Grey, and later founded the X-MEN, a group of mutants who have joined together to protect human kind.

POWERS: The ability to project beam of concussive force from his eyes, invulnerability to his own powers.

One of the first students at Xaviers' school for gifted youngsters, Scott came to Professor X because he needed help controlling his powers. He is unable to shut off his optic blasts due to a brain injury and he must therefore wear a visor or glasses with ruby quartz lenses that block the beams.

Storm

POWERS: Ability to control the weather over limited areas. She can fly by creating winds strong enough to support her weight. Ability to direct lightning strikes to any target of her will.

Ororo was also one of the first students at Xaviers' school for gifted youngsters. Her powers are very dangerous if they are not controlled, and that is why she needed Professor Xavier's help. She along with Cyclops, and Dr. Jean Grey are the first ones to form the X-MEN, and with their presence, human kind will be safe.

Jean Grey

POWERS: Telekinesis, some telepathy.

Jean Grey was one of the first students at Xaviers' school for gifted youngsters. Her main mutant power is telekinesis, but she is undergoing special training by the Professor to master her telepathy powers. She is one of the founding members of the X-MEN.

Wolverine

POWERS: The ability to heal quickly, metal skeletal frame.

Logan doesn't seem to remember anything before the past 15 years. Professor X realized that Logan underwent experimentation and had a metal skeleton surgically implanted in the procedure. He earned his money by participating in brawls, in Canada. There, he met Rogue and was attacked by Sabretooth. He was saved by a couple of the X-MEN, and brought into Xaviers' school.

HAIR: Brown with a white streak
INTELLIGENCE: Normal
POWERS: Absorbs the energy or power of anyone she touches.

Marie came to Xaviers' school gifted youngsters after running away from home. Along the way she met Logan, and became good friends with him.

Magneto

EYES: Blue-Gray
HAIR: Gray
INTELLIGENCE: Normal
POWERS: Ability to control magnetism and other related electromagnetic forces. Ability to increase his physical strenght through magnetic powers.

Eric's parents were killed in W.W.2, and that is when he discoverd his powers. He met Xavier and became friends with him, but they had different opinions on the role of mutants. Xavier went on to establish the X-MEN, while Magneto formed the Brotherhood of Mutants, a group of mutants including Mystique, Sabretooth, Toad, and himself, who felt that mutants were the future of Earth, and that humans no longer mattered.

Member of the Brotherhood of Mutants, formed by Magneto.

Sabretooth

HAIR: Blonde
INTELLIGENCE: Normal
POWERS: Ability to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure. Heightened senses. Claws and teeth are strong enough to tear through human flesh and bone.

Victor was possibly a member of an elite foreign secret agency before realizing his powers. He is now a member of Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants.

Toad

HAIR: Brown (green in Toad form)

POWERS: Superhuman leaping ability. Thirty-foot-long tongue.

Mortimer has great understanding of advanced technology, which he acquired in his servitude to Magneto. He is not talented at developing machinery himself. He is one of the members of Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants.
